By Glen Stimson | Date published: 19 May 2020

This upgraded version of Nipper includes a new feature dedicated to auditing Cisco devices by making use of Cisco’s published vulnerabilities along with the latest resources for our other plugins, such as NIST’s NVD’s (National Vulnerability Database). Customers will benefit from the latest security findings when auditing network devices and ensure they are protected against the latest publicly known vulnerabilities.
Titania Nipper discovers vulnerabilities in firewalls, switches and routers, automatically prioritizing risks to your organization.
The new Cisco specialized report plugin focuses on the reporting of Cisco Vulnerabilities by using the Cisco PSIRT, (Product Security Incident Response Team) advisories file for managing vulnerabilities within your Cisco Software. These PSIRT’s are a dedicated, global team that manage the receipt, investigations and public reporting of information about security issues vulnerability and issues related to the Cisco network and products.
The Cisco PSIRT plugin analyses devices against Cisco’s community-managed list of security advisories, reporting identified vulnerabilities with detailed information, including Cisco’s Security Impact Rating (SIR) and the respective Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) base score for each vulnerability.
