Nicola Whiting to highlight ‘transformational’ HR

Date published: 20 Nov 2019

Titania’s CSO, Nicola Whiting, is set to share her insights and experience at this year’s H&W HR Professionals Conference. Nicola will be highlighting the potential for HR to be truly transformational to every area of your business. This includes, how to support greater business efficiency, how to measure and empower people more effectively and a focus on diversifying your most critical business asset – your people.

Organised by Hewett Recruitment in collaboration with H&W Chamber of Commerce, Nicola will take to the stage on 21st November at the Bank House Hotel, Worcester for this full-day conference. Alongside other leading industry experts from across the region, Nicola will share her views and help shape discussions around future innovations, changing business dynamics and key industry challenges.

It’s unsurprising that Nicola has been carefully selected to join this panel of experts alongside Dave Morris, founding director of Zentano; Sally Morris, partner and head of employment for mfg Solicitors; Samantha Lewis, head of HR at NMiTe; Bernadette Pelster, chief people office for OpenGi; and Linda Beresford. As a role model for many working in tech, cybersecurity and the wider business sphere, Nicola has led Titania from a humble yet ambitious start-up status to the multi-million-pound, award-winning international organisation it is today and is recognised as an expert in her field.

Speaking of her presentation, Nicola explains:

“As a HR professional you are a nexus - a crossing point – a point of transformation. You touch every area of a business and the people within it. You increase success in hiring and retaining awesome candidates, ensure personal celebrations (like birthdays, babies and honeymoons) are positively supported and drive initiatives that help retain and develop your greatest asset – your team. Like many businesses Titania began with transactional HR - driven by process and policies. We wanted so much more, we just weren't sure how to get there, but we’ve learnt so much since then. I’ll be honoured to share what we’ve learnt about driving business success as well as supporting diversity and accessibility.

I hope attendees will go away with new ideas that may inspire them and help accelerate their own transformational journey.”
