The Opportunity: Device Specialist
Are you a technically skilled Device Specialist with a passion for cybersecurity? Do you thrive in fast-paced Agile environments and want to make a real impact by supporting mission-critical software development?
We’re expanding our Devices team and looking for a high-performing specialist to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of device onboarding, from vendor coordination and configuration to testing and production support. This is a pivotal role that ensures seamless device integration across our product suite and supports our commitment to excellence in cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Device Management
- Build and manage relationships with device vendors to ensure timely sourcing and delivery.
- Monitor the device landscape to identify new opportunities for integration and improvement.
Configuration & Support
- Configure physical and virtual devices for development, QA, support, and demo environments.
- Maintain a robust suite of demo configurations across supported devices to enable sales and customer engagement.
- Ensure compatibility with the latest manufacturer-recommended version and two prior versions.
Technical Ownership
- Define technical requirements for device integration.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to design and implement integration solutions.
- Apply patches and updates to lab environments to ensure uptime and compliance.
Lab Management
- Design, maintain, and optimize physical and virtual test labs.
- Ensure high availability and readiness of test environments for internal teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Provide training and mentorship on device and networking topics across Engineering, QA, Support, and other teams.
- Support customer calls and demos to enhance product understanding and technical sales.
- Act as an escalation point for device-related issues.
Compliance & Documentation
- Stay informed on industry standards (e.g., NIST, PCI, STIG, Mitre).
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for internal and customer use.
Quality Assurance
- Partner with QA and Engineering to develop test cases that validate device functionality and accuracy.
Professional Development
- Keep up with evolving networking technologies, device trends, and integration methodologies.
