We are on an exciting growth trajectory and are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Engineer with deep expertise in networking and cyber security to help scale our Sales function.

Position Overview

As a Pre-Sales Engineer you will play a critical role in supporting the sales process by providing technical leadership, solution design, and subject matter expertise. Collaborating with the sales team to identify and fully understand customer requirements, develop tailored technical proposals utilising Titania software solutions and deliver persuasive product demonstrations and presentations.

The role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them understand how our solutions can meet their business, compliance, and security objectives. Whilst a remote position global travel to customer and partner locations to fulfil the role will be required.

Key responsibilities

Technical expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of core networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, etc.).
  • Hands-on familiarity with leading security solutions and platforms (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Check Point, CrowdStrike, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, Zero Trust Architecture).
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for Titania's solutions, understanding their architecture and capabilities deeply.

Sales Support

  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop proposals and respond to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer needs.
  • Lead and support customer Proof of Concept and Proof of Value engagements, including solution configuration, testing, and validation.
  • Conduct customised product demonstrations to showcase how Titania solutions can solve customer challenges.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Post-Sales teams to ensure smooth handover and successful solution delivery.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop standardised documentation framework to support pre-sale to post-sale transition.
  • Create streamlined workflows for all aspects of the pre-sale process.
  • Build reusable collateral and demonstrations to expand pre-sales capabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, threat landscapes, competitor activity, and industry trends in networking and cyber security.

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, answer complex questions, and act as a liaison between customers and internal Product and Engineering teams.

Partner Enablement

  • Run workshops, webinars or in-person training to educate partners on Titania Solutions
  • Assist partners in setting up demonstration and testing environments for Titania Solutions
  • Teach partners how to position Titania Solutions and deliver compelling product demonstrations
  • Act as partner go to person for technical assistance and feedback on Titania Solutions

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical consultancy role within the cyber security or networking domain.
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills, including experience delivering to senior stakeholders and large audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executives.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

Preferred

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field like Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, NSE, etc.).
  • Experience of training or knowledge transfer to internal and external recipients.
